Ebor Asset Management LLP was established in 2003 as a Limited Liability Partnership following the formation of Ebor Asset Management in 1987 by David Dixon and Keith Waddington.
The firm has grown substantially in the last ten years and now has a team of 22 tasked with providing and administering advice for over 3000 clients.
The specialisation of the Firm in recent years has turned to providing advice on tax structures and wealth management and advice is given in such areas as pensions, investments, protection, long term care, Inheritance Tax planning and Trusts.
We still have an active interest in providing mortgage advice to clients and this now includes Equity Release products.
The firm has recruited specialists in all areas of advice and also out sources through its links with the IF Alliance areas such as fund research and unique products, specially designed for the benefit of our clients.
The Firm is remunerated either by fees or commission or an offset arrangement between commission and fees.
Ebor is committed to excellence and as such training and competence is seen as vital in ensuring that we are as current in our views and advice as is possible. This is backed by a rigorous compliance regime designed to ensure that the advice given is as complete as is possible.
The Firm currently consists of four Partners, David Dixon who has been in the industry for over 40 years. Mark Learmont, an ex- Army Officer who has now seen 18 years service as an Advisor. Richard Butterfield an Economics Graduate from Hull University, who has been with Ebor Asset Management since 1987 and Mark Houlbrook who has brought his pension expertise from a company perspective following work with National Mutual. The Partners have augmented the team with six other advisors who are either established financial planners or young men just starting off in their careers to ensure the long term success of the Firm.
Keith Waddington continues working with the firm as a consultant bringing his invaluable experience from having worked in the industry since 1977. Brian Hunt, like Mark Learmont, comes from a Forces background with The Royal Air Force and a successful career at Towry Law. Jonathan Dyson, having gained a degree at Huddersfield University in Business Studies, then went on to play professional football with Huddersfield Town for ten years before joining the firm to specialise in giving financial advice to those involved professionally in sport.
As part of the firm’s expansion programme, we were fortunate enough to acquire Colin Eyre in April 2004. Colin brings a wealth of experience to the team having been in Financial Services for the past 35 years. Colin is an Associate of The Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) by examination and has also gained the Advanced Financial Planning Certificate (AFPC). He is also a past Chairman of The Yorkshire Life and Pensions Society.
Based in Thornton, Bradford the Firm enjoys the reputation of being one of the largest IFA firms in the city with clients that are spread over the whole of the United Kingdom.
Ebor is an organisiation small enough to know and care for each of our clients individually, large enough to deliver first class advice and service through our strategic alliances.
